Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the position of Public Health Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating health programs, providing technical advice on disease prevention and control, and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Management: Manage and coordinate health programs, ensuring effective implementation and monitoring of activities.
  • Disease Prevention and Control: Provide technical advice on disease prevention and control, developing strategies and action plans to address communicable and non-communicable diseases.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and other partners to ensure effective coordination and implementation of health programs.
RequirementsEssential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as public health, epidemiology, medicine, or statistics.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a related field, including experience in disease investigation, surveillance, and control.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Training or specialization in communicable and non-communicable diseases.
  • Demonstrated professional experience providing technical services to national counterparts, ministries of health, and other partners.
Skills:
  • Technical knowledge of disease prevention and control, including HIV infection and other communicable and non-communicable diseases.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide clear advice and guidance to multiple stakeholders.
