Company Description
The National Radio and Television of Afghanistan (RTA) began broadcasting in 1925, initially known as Kabul Radio and later as the National Radio of Afghanistan. Television broadcasts started on August 19, 1978.

RTA has played a vital role in Afghan society by informing the public about national interests and promoting awareness. As the official state broadcasting organization, RTA has an extensive national presence with branches and broadcasts across the country.

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior System Development Specialist located in Kabul.

The specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software systems, performing system analysis, programming, and collaborating with IT and business teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain backend and frontend systems using Laravel, Django, , , Tailwind CSS, Firebase, and WordPress
  • Design, implement, and manage databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Firebase, SQLite)
  • Build and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs
  • Manage and configure Linux servers and cloud deployments
  • Ensure system security, scalability, and performance
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and analysts
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and software issues
  • Support system users through documentation and training

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in software or system development (7 years for Master's, 5 years for PhD)
  • Proficiency in System Development, Software Engineering, and Programming
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, PHP, and Python
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and project management skills
