Norwegian Church Aid is hiring an Operations Manager for our country office in Afghanistan. This is an unique opportunity to lead life-saving humanitarian work in a high-impact, high-risk environment.

Your Role as Operations Manager

As part of the Senior Management Team, you'll lead procurement, logistics, safety, and support services, ensuring operational excellence and compliance in a complex setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead transparent procurement and contract management
  • Oversee logistics, fleet, IT, and emergency readiness
  • Manage safety protocols and risk mitigation
  • Build capacity across teams and partners
  • Mentor operational staff and foster a culture of integrity

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years in operations management (INGOs or similar)
  • Expertise in procurement, logistics, and compliance
  • Experience in high-risk environments and security management
  • Strong digital skills and leadership qualities
  • Fluent in English; Norwegian or local languages are a plus
