Project Summary:
Creative Associates seeks a Grants Manager for an upcoming USAID-funded program in Afghanistan. The overall goal of the Afghanistan Competitiveness for Export-Oriented Businesses Program is to support and enhance the market-driven growth of Afghan Small/Medium Enterprises associated with export-oriented value chains and enterprise clusters in Afghanistan. This will be achieved through a direct technical and in-kind support of leading Afghan exporters and relevant supply/value chain.
Position Summary:
The Grants Manager will be responsible for oversight of all grants activities, including ensuring efficient and proper controls for USAID and Creative grant compliance and reporting; coordinating training and grants administration with NGOs, grantees, local sub-contractors, and sub-awardees; and review and submission of financial reports as required for each grant.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or professional accounting/financial qualification is required;
- Minimum five (5) years' experience in grant management, including disbursements and reporting and 10 years of general work experience is required;
- Demonstrated experience in financial administration, budget and cost control management is essential;
- Knowledgeable about USAID rules and regulations, previous experience working on USAID-funded projects is required;
- Excellent record keeping, and documentation skills are required; and
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
