Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Research Assistant based in Kabul Province, Afghanistan. The Research Assistant will be tasked with conducting comprehensive research and assisting in data gathering and analysis. Responsibilities include performing literature reviews, crafting reports and summaries, supporting laboratory work, and maintaining detailed data records. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with team members and contributing to research projects focused on War Child Canada's mission and goals.

Qualifications

  • Strong research and analytical skills, including experience in collecting, organizing, and interpreting complex data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating reports, summaries, and delivering findings effectively
  • Proficiency in laboratory skills and data analysis for research purposes
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team and adapt to dynamic working environments
  • Bachelor's degree in related fields (e.g., Social Sciences, Psychology, Public Policy, or similar); advanced degrees are an asset
  • Familiarity with topics related to child protection, conflict-affected communities, or international development is a plus
  • Strong commitment to War Child's mission and values
