About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Operations Officer to join our team at the International Finance Corporation. As a key member of our Country Management team, you will provide critical support to our day-to-day operations and program management in Afghanistan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct industry and market research to support business development activities
  • Review company information and assist in screening potential business opportunities
  • Undertake background research on potential partners and investee companies
  • Prepare analysis of business performance and monitor the portfolio and pipeline of current and upcoming projects
  • Support the management of visiting missions and coordinate with stakeholders
  • Actively contribute to knowledge management and support the Country team in overall program delivery

Requirements

  • Master's degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent English written communication skills, including presentations and briefs
  • Active listening skills and diplomacy in interactions with others
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to execute tasks timely and effectively
  • Advanced user level proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Strong command over English, as well as Dari and/or Pashto
