Job Description

As the head of the administrative department, you will oversee the establishment and implementation of human resources frameworks, procedures, and policies. You will work closely with the general coordinator to ensure alignment with the mission's objectives.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Defining and supervising the implementation of human resources set-ups
  • Developing, adapting, and planning human resources frameworks, procedures, and policies in line with local context, legislation, and MdM policies
  • Coordinating financial management and administration, including accounting, budget construction, internal and external reporting, donor compliance, audits, and administrative obligations
  • Ensuring MdM remains compliant with legal requirements and maintains a principled approach
  • Recruiting, training, and managing the administrative team
  • Representing MdM towards donors when necessary
  • Liaising with INGOs heads of administrative departments and participating in interagency coordination meetings
  • Providing technical support to operational staff on HR and financial management
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Higher education in management or a related field
  • Minimum four years' experience in international charity administration
  • Ability to read, analyze, and construct budgets
  • Capacity to manage multi-donor portfolios and understand institutional donors' cycles and procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in recruitment processes supervision and induction management for new staff
  • Ability to implement and communicate MdM HR and finance policies
  • Strong Excel and accounting software skills
  • English language proficiency (C1 level) and knowledge of French or local languages an asset

  • A gross monthly salary of €3,359
  • 6-month contract renewable based on performance
  • Premium equal to one month's salary paid in two installments
