Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Economic Growth Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving economic growth and development initiatives worldwide.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic advice on private sector development, program implementation, and monitoring of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), access to finance, microfinance, banking, and digital payments-related work.
  • Lead the implementation of the UNDP's MSME and access to finance strategies working closely with partner UN Agencies, Technical Advisors, and Experts, multilateral and bilateral donors, civil society, and the private sector to deliver results in this critical area.
  • Provide technical support and input to other programmatic activities on enterprise development designed and implemented by UNDP.
Key Requirements:
  • An advanced university degree in Economics, Finance, or Business Administration or related field is required.
  • A minimum of seven years of increasingly responsible professional experience in economic development and/or private sector development programs is required.
  • Substantive knowledge and practical experience in private sector development in an emergency context is an asset.
