Description

SmartAssets is seeking an innovative Product Owner eager to expand their expertise as a Strategist into the realms of tech, AI, and product management. This role is perfect for an analytical and strategic thinker with a bias for action. Someone who wants to move beyond just discussing insights and is excited about turning ideas into action.

Working closely with our CPO, the successful candidate will initially own the rollout of a central feature of our roadmap. They will then lead research and ideation to construct the mid-to-long-term vision of the product. The role's responsibilities also involve collaboration with the Engineering and Design teams, as well as client-facing interactions.

Requirements

Product Management:

  • Convert research and insights into actionable items to be drafted into the product backlog.
  • Work closely with the Engineering team to prioritize and implement features.
  • Drive product ideation by interacting with users and external stakeholders.
  • Summarize research from strategic partners, scientific publications, online publishers, our network company and the agencies within it to refine product strategy.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication between the CPO and Technical Project Manager to translate research outputs into product features.
  • Design a future landscape for the product that anticipates and adapts to the rapid changes in the MarTech ecosystem.

Day-to-Day Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the CPO and Technical Project Manager to align on business objectives and sprint goals.
  • Participate in daily standups, monitoring progress, and maintaining documentation.
  • Proactively identify and address challenges, ensuring smooth execution of product development cycles.
  • Work within a dedicated product unit of engineers and machine learning experts.

Desired Skills:

  • Strategic mind with 2-5 years of experience in media, in a role involving creative strategy or analysis.
  • Understanding of advertising measurement and media effectiveness
  • Strong interest in AI, keeping up to speed with developments and innovations.
  • Understanding and personal point of view of the MarTech/AdTech ecosystem and its future.
  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams (developers, designers, marketing).
  • Appreciation for behavioural science as a big plus.
  • Experience or affinity with the product development life-cycle (agile, sprint planning, Jira, Confluence).
