Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller, the Senior Finance Manager will have strong people management, technical accounting skills and demonstrable experience of identifying and implementing efficiencies in finance operations. The role will work collaboratively with the rest of the Finance team to lead the seamless delivery of statutory financial reporting, compliance and financial controls.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and inspire 3 direct reports to achieve their potential and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department.
  • Lead the Financial Accounting process for 4 legal entities (1 French entity, 1 Spanish entity and 2 UK entities).
  • Prepare the annual Statutory Financial Statements as per local GAAP requirements for the entities above.
  • Prepare and submit VAT and National Statistic Office forms.
  • Be the finance business partner for key territories, managing the reporting, insight and provide guidance on achieving financial targets.
  • Uses their exemplary knowledge of the business to assist the Senior Financial Controller in delivering timely and accurate monthly variance analysis packs to Head Office and the EMEA CFO, including analysis and understanding around revenue, margin and overhead variances as well as other business KPI's.
  • Manage the monthend process in accordance with Group deadlines.
  • Responsible for reviewing the Balance Sheet reconciliations on timely manner and ensure effective and efficient Internal Controls operate across all areas of the Balance Sheet, identifying areas of risk or concern.
  • Review and approve weekly paycycles and build relationships with the offshore transactions team by providing guidance and support.
  • Manage confidential staff related accounting entries and liaise with HR team to ensure all employee related information held by HR system is accurate.
  • Manage the external audit process for our UK, France and Spain legal entities, building relationships with the audit team to ensure a seamless audit process and outcome.
  • Review PSA returns for completeness and compliance and be the main point of contact for all HMRC related queries.
  • Provision of ad hoc reports to various stakeholders as required to assist in business decision making process.

Educations and Experience:

  • Staff management experience and Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or equivalent, with technical accounting and commercial accounting experience.
  • Experience in statutory reporting for France & UK based entities.
  • Fluent in French & English is essential.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge, must be proficient and able to work independently with Pivot Tables, VLookups and SUMIFS.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining financial controls
  • Experience with D365 and IBM is an added advantage.
