A Hybrid working model

Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. The expectation is that working life at Hogarth will involve working from the office for about 60% of the time for most people. What does an Assistant Global Finance Controller do at Hogarth?

We are looking for Assistant Global Finance Controller who will be actively involved into all aspects of Finance Controllership, including Internal Controls, supporting WPP/Hogarth in finance systems implementation, maintaining Hogarth entity structure etc.

The essence of the role is to work alongside Hogarth Global and Regional Finance teams, as well as WPP Global Finance team, to ensure the finance processes are running smoothly, policies are adhered to, and Finance teams have an adequate level of support

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive the enhancement of Financial Reporting in accordance with Group policies and guidelines. This will include (but won't be limited to) such areas as Intercompany, Balance sheet reporting, Month End/Half Year End/Year End reporting
  • Partner closely with the Local FDs and Regional CFOs, as well as the Global SOX and Compliance team to drive the enhancement of internal controls process on all levels (OpCo level, Regional Level, Worldwide level)
  • Support Global Director of SOX & Compliance and Global FP&A team in maintaining Hogarth structures for various purposes (Management reporting structure, SOX IDs structure, Legal Entity structure)
  • Represent Hogarth on Group Controllers calls, manage communications from HQ to local and regional offices to ensure everyone's awareness and good understanding of the current or new policies/guidelines/instructions/timelines
  • Provide support in implementation of new finance and control systems and tools where relevant

Reporting lines and key stakeholders

This role reports to the Global Controller (London).

You will work closely with all Finance teams across ~30 markets, Regional CFOs, Hogarth Global Finance Team (SOX & Compliance, FP&A) and WPP Global Finance Team.

Requirements

  • Fully Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or other)
  • Experience of working with complex company structures and numerous foreign legal entities
  • Significant technical/management accounting background
  • Willingness to get into details to understand the business processes
  • Having excellent communication skills to be able to relate to colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to work in a very dynamic environment where change is part of every-day life
  • Analytical mindset; being able to see the bigger picture without losing sight of details
  • Relevant industry / professional services experience – highly desirable
