Role Overview:
As the Director of Strategic sales, you'll play a pivotal role in driving growth in our existing accounts by equipping our sales team with the knowledge, tools and frameworks they need to excel.
The ideal candidate has a passion for building and leading high-performing strategic sales teams and thrives developing people to achieve their personal and company goals. A background in enterprise B2B SaaS and expertise with consultative selling techniques and methodologies is required. This role will report into our SVP, Global Sales and lead our EMEA Strategic Account team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to grow ARR within existing accounts.
- Help Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and enhancing customer value.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team.
- Set clear objectives and performance metrics for the team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Collaborate with the sales operations team to optimize sales processes and reporting.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage sales forecasts and pipeline using MEDDPICC and COM to help qualify and progress opportunities
- Build and maintain a cadence with the team for ongoing pipeline generation
Requirements / the ideal candidate:
- 6+ years of Enterprise B2B SaaS sales experience, ideally at a high-growth tech start/scale-up.
- 3+ years of experience managing, coaching, and developing a team of Strategic Sellers with a track record of success.
- Previous experience attracting and retaining quality commercial talent.
- Strong Sales Process and Methodology with Solution Based Selling (COM) & MEDDPICC
- Excellent contract negotiation skills
- Consultative selling approach
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work with team-members in the region and around the world.
