Job Description

Ares Management is a seeking a Human Resources Associate to join the Talent Management team (within the Human Resources function) on a full-time basis. The Associate will be responsible for providing key support for HR tasks and ownership of a number of processes across the EMEA region. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, driven, process and detail-oriented, flexible with an ability to learn and adapt quickly and must be organized with a strong sense of client service. The role will continuously evolve as the organisation grows and the HR team enhances current processes and procedures. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who has already gained experience in a junior HR role and is eager to continue their development within a close-knit HR team.

Primary functions & responsibilities

  • Support the Talent Management team and HR Business Partners with a variety of day-to-day HR matters and projects
  • Ability to anticipate HR and business needs in efforts to help drive results
  • Running weekly UK & European induction sessions to welcome our new joiners
  • Working with immigration counsel on visa and immigration management for the EMEA employee population including Right to Work checks and keeping up to date on changes in legislation
  • Facilitating onboarding and offboarding logistics including probation meetings and exit interviews
  • Utilising HR Metrics reports to create data insights for leadership and board meetings as well as completing ad hoc reporting requests
  • Working with the HR Operations team on employee references and completing regulated reference requests for former employees
  • Document production for parental leaves, flexible work arrangements, updates to employment agreements, leaver letters, transfer letters, etc.
  • Supporting HRBPs in ER cases including note taking in investigation meetings and drafting documentation
  • Management of Workday processes for the EMEA population including, but not limited to, creation of new positions, transfer of employees, annual leave adjustments and ensuring correct documentation is uploaded
  • Managing of a range of local in country requirements across continental Europe e.g. related to leaves and statutory filings
  • Advising employees on the application of a variety of local policies in line with firmwide standards
  • Supporting the business with outsourced service provider, consultant and secondment requests
  • Invoice processing for the HR team
  • Maintaining knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees across EMEA reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Any other tasks as required

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

Experience Required:

  • 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources
  • HR Operational experience strongly preferred (Workday experience is a plus)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
