Job summary:

The Coordinators are responsible for the entire management of the project, coordination with stakeholders of the project, and observation and control of the progress of the project at the provincial level.

Duties and responsibilities include:
  • Schedule, execute and facilitate the project intermediations strictly according to the approved work plan and timeframe which is approved at the provincial level.
  • Management of resources and coordination of the team members to deliver the SEARCH Covid-19 project effectively at the provincial level.
  • Be sure that the project shows the expected results of the project by checking the quality control.
  • Make sure that you deliver the Covid-19 awareness project activities in the main districts of the provinces.
  • Lead and manage the volunteers to develop the appropriate prevention and awareness-raising in the targeted province.
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate with provincial DoPH in the main province, customer, and the stakeholders to make a conducive environment at the line department and community level for more effective implementation of planned activities.
  • Have regular and focused visits to the project’s implementation sites to ensure smooth implementation of the planned activities.
  • Be in contact with local volunteers and the communication center for ensuring the effective delivery of the project.
  • Share regular updates with the project manager for reporting and as well as, close contact with the M&E specialists to provide data for MEAL purposes.
  • Help the project manager in preparing, designing, and review of ICE materials for awareness of Covid-19.
  • Participate in meetings and events called by donors, leaders, and other stakeholders at the provincial level.
  • Recruit, interview, and select well-qualified volunteers on a need basis and in consultation with the manager of the project.
  • Oversee the project-related groups in their field with prepared plans, reports, good feedback, to the related level.
  • Deliver training and technical support to the volunteers
  • Determine, select and train local CSOs on COVID 19, and developing ToR for the selected CSOs.
  • Respect the Afghan culture and keep the events & themes tuned and in balance in all program activities.
  • Prepare monthly goals and objectives for project offices.
  • Be ready and flexible to undertake any extra responsibility when needed.
Job Requirements:
  • Must have graduated from a well-known university in the field of Social Science, Business Management, Development Studies, Economics, Political Science, Public Health, or any other relevant field.
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in Public Communication, Outreach, Advocacy, Emergency Response, Health, or any other relevant part.
  • Must be an expert user of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the internet.
  • A good staff manager, planning and organization skills with a strong ability for context analysis, security management, networking, and collaboration.
  • Communication skills and strong local language skills.
  • Fluent in English, Dari and Pashto speaking /writing skills are mandatory.
  • Be able to write concise and clear reports.
